Secure the bench vice firmly on the workbench and lock the swivel base before use. Turn the operating handle to open the jaws, place the workpiece evenly without eccentric force, and tighten the screw moderately. Never apply extra force with an extension pipe. Hammering and straightening work should be done on the built-in anvil instead of the jaw plates.
After operation, release the screw and take out the workpiece, then clear metal scraps from jaws. Lubricate the trapezoidal screw regularly to avoid rust and jamming. Use soft jaw pads for finished workpieces to prevent surface damage, and take anti-rust measures if the vice will not be used for a long time.
